Kadima/Jr. USY

United Synagogue Youth (USY) is an International organization that provides opportunities for Jewish youth in grades 4-12 to express themselves as Jews and to explore their Judaism within a social environment. Here at Congregation Or Chadash, Kadima (Grades 4-5) and Jr. USY (Grades 6-8), provide social action, educational, religious, leadership skill-building, fun, engaging and social activities.  We plan to add a USY (grades 9-12) component to our chapter as our Jr. USY members “move up” to high school. If you are interested in assisting with this effort, please be in touch. Be sure to click the website homepage “Events” tab (http://www.congregationorchadash.org/) or “Calendar” tab (http://www.congregationorchadash.org/calendar) for upcoming Kadima and Jr. USY activities.

IMPORTANT NOTE FOR 6th GRADERS: The chapter has decided that, for this year, you will be included in the Jr. USY programming. You are welcome to attend the Kadima programs, too, but the focus will now be on Jr. USY.

For more information about membership, please contact Jennifer Schwarz (JenSchwarz1@gmail.com) or Julie Krell (julieskrell@hotmail.com) – Kadima/USY Youth Commission co-chairs. You can also direct your inquiry to our Youth Department advisors: orchadashyouth@aol.com.

We now have close to 90 kids in our chapter and the numbers are growing every week!
