A congregation that plays together, stays together! Two new clubs are forming at OC to allow Congregants with shared interests an opportunity to meet, play, bond and grow as a congregation.
Mah Jong Mondays: Congregants interested in playing Mah Jong are forming a league to play at the synagogue. To register, email orchadash.clubs@gmailcom. If you have never played Mah Jong but would like to learn, you are invited to join the league as there will be teachers and a beginning group to play with.
Israeli Dancing on Tuesday Nights: Congregant Pam Pullman, an amazing Israeli dance teacher, has volunteered to run an Israeli dance class on the second and fourth Tuesday nights each month with the exception of holidays. We will learn new dances and review old favorites. Israeli Dancing is a lot of fun and a great workout, so wear comfortable clothing and shoes.
We want to add more clubs. If you are interested in the following groups, please email orchadash.clubs@gmail.com or call Sarah Levine at 602-359-0896. Each club will need a person to act as a coordinator. Ideas include cards (bridge, poker, canasta or others); fitness (walking, hiking, biking, yoga), meditation, photography, cooking, quilting Fantasy Leagues (football, baseball, basketball, tennis, golf, basketbal), dining, theater, wine tasting, music listening. If you have additional suggestions please let us know.
Or Chadash is a participatory Congregation!
